* Wankel, adj. et adv. welches im Hochdeutschen völlig veraltet ist, und nur zuweilen in den ältern Schriften für wankend, nicht fest, vorkommt. Unsteru fruintschaft machet wankeln mut, unbeständigen, Milo von Sevelingen. Auch Luther gebraucht noch, wankel werden, Ebr. 6, 12. Es ist vermittelst der Ableitungssylbe el von der Wurzel des Verbi wanken gebildet, und ist um der folgenden Zusammensetzungen Willen zu merken, welche noch völlig gangbar sind, obgleich wankel für sich allein veraltet ist.
