Median

Mediān, ein aus dem Lat. medianus entlehntes und nur in einigen Zusammensetzungen übliches Wort, etwas zu bezeichnen, welches theils in der Mitte zwischen andern Dingen, theils aber auch von mittlern Größe ist, d.i. zwar größer als gewöhnlich, doch nicht das größte seiner Art. Die Median-Ader, in der Anatomie, ein Ast der Leberader, welcher um die Mitte des Armes von derselben entspringet und zwischen der Haupt- und Leberader lieget; Vena mediana. Das Median-Papier, welches in der Größe das Mittel zwischen dem gemeinen Papiere und dem Regal-Papiere hält. Median-Octav, Median-Quart, Median-Folio, groß-octav u.s.f. aber noch nicht so groß als Regal-octav u.s.f.
